Regina Hall has appeared in some memorable films in the last decade. Many remember her from the movie “Paid In Full” where she starred opposite Wood Harris; but her most memorable role was playing the character Brenda Meeks in the “Scary Movie” franchise. She has since starred in many major blockbuster movies and is a face many households are familiar with. Born on December 12, 1970 in Washington D.C., Regina Hall’s mother was a teacher and her father a contractor.
Here are five other interesting facts about this versatile actress that may interest you:
She was no spring chicken when she began acting– Regina Hall was actually in her 30’s when she began playing her most famous role to date Brenda Meeks in the “Scary Movie” franchise. She actually started acting at the age of 26 starring in commercials. She then acted in a soap opera and other popular television series such as “Ally McBeal”.
She comes from an area where stars are born– Martin Lawrence, Alan Heitz, Dave Chappelle, Mya and Sandra Bullock all hail from the same Washington, D.C. neighborhood Regina Hall grew up in.
Rumors– Regina Hall and Sanaa Lathan are close friends. Not only did they star in 3 movies together, but Regina Hall and Sanaa Lathan are so close, she lived with Sanaa for a period of time while her home was being repaired in 2006. Over the years there were rumors that the two were more than just friends.
She’s an activist– When Regina Hall’s mother was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease scleroderma, she began volunteering her time in senior citizens homes twice a week to raise public awareness. She donates often to the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
She’s a writer– Regina is putting her journalism degree to work. She announced in 2010 that she will be writing for ABILITY Magazine. She graduated from NYU in 1997 with a master’s degree in journalism.

Two of my Favorite actresses!! I’ve followed their careers since Forever! my all time Hilarious part of many of the scary movies Regina hall has starred in is the Theater scene where she rips out her Chicken all wrapped in Aluminum foil, Then asks around does N.E.1 want any, someone begins to yell at her… N she goes, YOU DON’T OWN THE THEATRE!!!! off the map funny.sooo….. whyyy can’t girls, just be Close girls. and just be having some good ol’e Girlfriend fun Together. Folk alway’s take stuff and run with it. Dang!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been best friends with a group of women for over thirty years. We love,respect and support each other during all phases of life, births, deaths, divorces etc. I find it insulting that women have to defend their friendships or closeness. This is some ni??er journalism $hit

It’s obvious the article was targeted to degrade someone’s character by the title. Why wasn’t it titled “Facts about Regina Hall”. That was what the article was about. Why do we have to tear each other down with these trashy articles? Why does society think because friends are close that they are gay? What a shame on this evil mentality. A wasted read.
