Police in Rhode Island are frantically searching for two-year-old Isaih Perez, who was allegedly abducted by Malcolm W. Crowell, a 22-year-old man believed to have been actively involved in a double homicide over the weekend. Police have found and arrested Crowell; however, Perez is still missing.

Officials in Johnston, Rhode Island believe that Crowell is responsible for killing two unidentified people in their home. Perez resided in the home where the murders occurred. Authorities have issued an Amber Alert hoping that someone has seen Crowell (pictured above) with the child. When issued early enough, frequently and to as many people as possible, Amber Alerts can lead to the successful return of  minor child as was seen this week in California.

Officials believe that Perez was taken early Sunday morning. It is also believed that Crowell was seen fleeing the scene with the toddler.  Johnston Police Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo  also said that the  relationship between the suspect, the child, and the two deceased individuals is unknown. Police did not elaborate on the ages, genders, or names of the individuals who were killed. Reports indicate that their family members still need to be notified.

It is also still unclear as to what Crowell’s motive may have been. No one from his family has commented about his connection to the boy or the deceased; however, everyone is hoping for Isaih’s safe return.

I am so sick of these mentally unstable idiots using kids to avenge whatever sick thoughts there having. I really think we need to bring the electric chair back for those animals who commit heinous crimes like this!

Bringing the electric chair won’t stop mentally unstable people, because they won’t be electrocuted until after the murder. That is just punishing the crime, we need prevention of the crime. We need to put more focus on diagnosis of mental disease. I believe people realize when there is something not quite right with a person, yet they still allow them in their home and around their family member. If I detect that someone may show some signs of instability, I am staying far away from them.
