Rapper and actress Queen Latifah has decided to give it another go in the television world with a daytime talk show. The cover girl queen is now calling on her fellow A-list friends for support in her decision to host another TV talk show.

Queen Latifah has included top musicians like Alicia Keys and Lenny Krafitz to make  appearances on the “The Queen Latifah Show” that will debut September 16.

Latifah plans on including Hollywood’s most famous black power couple Will and Jada Smith in the production plans for the show.

Producer Corin Nelson says the Queen’s show will not feature much on politics, aiming at a more fresh and young audience. Pop culture and gossip will definitely be featured on the show. However, the production has already invited President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama to be apart of an episode.

Shooting for the show will be held at the Los Angeles-area Sony Studios.

This isn’t  the Queen’s first run around on television. The show, airing in September, will be the revival of her first talk show that aired in syndication from September 13 1999 to August 31 2001. The series was a mix of topics and included interviews with celebrities including Eve, Whoopi Goldberg, Ice Cube, Lauryn Hill, Denzel Washington and non-celebrities alike.

Congrats Queen!
