If you’re a driving with your spouse and an argument ensues, it’s always a good idea to table the disagreement until you reach home.kids thrown from car This is the lesson a Texas family learned in the most painful way possible.

A Houston mother endangered her family when she caused her husband to crash into a tree during an argument.

Investigators say Carlishia Jevian Johnson was riding with her husband and their four children on July 14 when she and her husband began to argue. The husband was driving when Johnson, who was seated in the passenger seat,  reached over and jerked the wheel to the right, causing an accident.

The husband lost control of the car, crashing into a palm tree, and 3 of the four children were ejected from the vehicle as a result.

The children were all taken to a local hospital where they were later released with non-life threatening injuries.

Johnson told police that she only touched the wheel to prevent her husband from slamming into another vehicle, but surveillance video revealed that there weren’t any other vehicles nearby at the time of the accident.

Johnson sustained two compound fractures to her right arm as a result of the accident.

30, was charged with felony injury to a child.

Johnson’s bail was set at $10,000. Her first court appearance is set for August 2nd.

Okay, so the children were evidently unbuckled and were thrown from the car. If the mother is such a monster, where was the father. Couldn’t he buckle them in their seats?

The young woman needs counseling and anger management training. The expression on her face says how sorry she is for what she caused to happen. She is misguided and needs help. If there are any black social service professionals in her area or state who would be willing to reach out to her and provide her with the proper decision making skills she needs to function properly in the world, I hope they contact her and help her immediately. If there are any readers of this column who know of anyone who can help her, please try to alert them of her situation and ask them to contact her so she can get the help she needs to avoid any future tragedies. These situations can be avoided if we ban together to help the people in our communities who need help. We all know people in our towns and communities who need guidance. We see them walking around our towns every day. We just need to figure out a way to help them realize they need our help and guide them. We must work together to improve our plight.

@SheilaB, well spoken young lady. I totally agree with your positive solution. We should all reach out in our own neighborhoods just as you stateed when we can see & know when someone needs help in any fashion. Insted of us jumping on the banwagon of negativity and insults.

Both of them did not put the kids in belts, what were they thinking? The two adults were arguing. She deserved to be in jail and maybe the husband too. I’m sending Blessings to the children, Thank God, that they were not killed by their parents!

I’m so thankful that God is God and he’s forgiving! Because over half of these comments are attacking the mother. We all do and say dumb, stupid things and pay heavily for the consequences. This woman clearly has anger issues and calling her names, won’t change a thing! Yes, it was a very bad decision on her part, but stop with throwing the stones and look in the mirror. You may not have endangered your kids, but maybe there was something else you said or done that torn their little hearts apart. Pray for this woman and just maybe, she’ll get the help and services she needs. Leave the judging up to God! He’s the ultimate judge!

I’ve been there, done that …. men will pull over the vehicle to fight.., women will wait until the man is occupied with driving to get physical… But the reckless behavior w/children in the vehicle “that’s some Tyler Madea Perry BS there….
