The Milan court just handed down the sentence Wednesday morning. Dolce and Gabbana failed to declare 1 billion ($1.3 billion in U.S. dollars) in income to authorities.

Both Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been charged $441 Million for tax evasion. D&G the Sicilian inspired brand with gorgeous styles for both men and women, selling their brand D&G to their Luxembourg-based holding company GADO in 2004, allegedly maneuvering to avoid paying the high taxes in Italy.

D&G is a very popular and successful brand and they have denied the charges.

In addition to founding the fashion label which has become a celebrity favorite, Dolce and Gabbana also serve as the brand’s head designers. It’s unclear who will be in charge while the two are incarcerated.

Will you still support the brand?
