Jamie Foxx To Write And Direct Horror Series For SyFy

jf411We have known Jamie Foxx to be the master of many talents within the entertainment Industry. He has graced comic stages all over the world, retreated back to his first love of music, played riveting roles such as Ray Charles, and taken us on action packed adventures. Now we will get to know him behind the scenes. Jamie Foxx has traded in his acting hat for  his director’s hat.  Foxx and Foxhole productions have signed on to write a newly scripted series for the Syfy channel. Foxx will not only write the piece but direct and executive produce the currently untitled piece The 5-series horror anthology may also get the green light for SyFy channel’s annual 31 Days  Of Halloween marathon set for October.

The series is being compared to a modern day Tales From The Crypt and The Twilight Zone and will be laced full of morality stories. Foxx said, “This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life… Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way,”

Before Foxx hangs up his acting hat for a while, he can be seen in the upcoming Roland Emmerich film, White House Down, opposite Channing Tatum. In the film Foxx plays the President of the United States. Tatum plays his Secret Service Agent, who tries to save the president, when the White House falls under attack. Foxx is not newcomer to horror films. Previously Foxx directed a made for TV movie entitled Nite Tales in 2011.  Along with Foxx’s anticipated series, the network has announced a plethora of developing projects that include 2 miniseries that are being developed by a co-production company of MGM Television,Universal Cable Productions, and Arthur C. Clarke’s Childhood’s End.
