Beyoncé Bans Photographers From Shows Trying To Avoid Unflattering Pics

beyonce1We all remember the not so perfect shots from the Superbowl, of Beyoncé strutting her stuff. Social media lit up like a wild fire with Photoshopped versions of the singer making faces as she put on the performance of her life. Those pictures did not sit too well with Beyoncé and the singer has taken extra precautions with her Mrs. Carter tour, by banning photographers from taking pictures of her.

Bey has chosen to hire her own photographers, specifically for taking more classy pictures of her in performance. The only accredited  photographer on board, for the moment, is Frank Micelotta who took a very flattering picture of Beyoncé dressed in a white bodysuit, after performing one of her songs.  News outlets won’t be left out of the loop, as it is said that reporters will be given the option of utilizing preapproved pictures via a web link . The pictures on the website are from the Amsterdam, Zagreb, Belgrade, and Bratslava tour stops.

After Gawker and Buzzfeed compiled the unflattering pictures of Beyoncé at the Superbowl, it is said that they received a call from Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure. At the time Noel-Schure asked the sites to change their photos saying, “I am certain you will be able to find some better photos.”

Banning photographers will not necessarily keep unflattering pictures from being leaked to the press, as every audience member has a cell phone and it is almost certain that they will want to snap a pic or two of the singer doing her thing. Most smartphones now come equipped with zoom and HD, giving a more crisper look than an actual professional camera. Of course they are no Getty Images, but will have to do for the news outlets trying to break stories. While banning photographers may give the singer peace of mind, don’t count on photographers waiting around to snag pictures from a site. The second leg of the Mrs. Carter tour kicks off on Aril 26th, in the UK.
