Porsha Stewart On Divorce: ‘I Was Misled’
From the sounds of things, the forthcoming divorce between “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart and former NFL athlete Kordell Stewart will be a nasty one. Porsha claims she was misled by her soon-to-be ex-husband and they were actually working on their marriage.
Porsha released a statement through her representative saying she is “disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce.” According to TMZ, the rep added that Porsha had delayed filing for divorce papers because she was committed to the marriage and Kordell had promised to work with her to strengthen it. Instead, the rep claims “[Kordell] misled her and she found out about the filing in the media.” The rep concluded: “Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”
According to the divorce documents, which were filed in Georgia, Stewart says that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.” The two were married just two years ago on May 21, 2011, and have no kids together. During the show, Porsha told her husband that she wanted to both have kids and do charity work, but he wanted her to pick one or the other. The two are currently separated, and according to TMZ, Kordell believes that he shouldn’t have to pay any spousal support. According to Stewart, his wife is “an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself.”
According to Porsha’s pal, Kandi Burruss, the couple does not have a pre-nup. In a blog post from January, Burruss, who is an advocate of pre-nups and will be getting one with her fiance’, said she was “shocked” when Porsha told her she and Kordell do not have a pre-nup.

When she kept her brothers daughter, she was not very good at it. Maybe her husband knows that she cannot chew gum and walk at the same time. Maybe she does need to do either or, sometimes we can stand on the outside but we really don’t know the truth behind closed doors. No matter how it looks from the outside looking in. You must realize this young lady has been protected, did you see her trying to cook?

@AnnG – Yes, I saw her trying to cook, and how about when she was asked to make coffee. If you took notice, they edited it out. During the next scene the coffee had been made, but they didn’t show who made it. Poor thing. I guess, maybe, she might be ok during/after the divorce. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. I hope she is able to take him down, or at least knock him off his high horse.

Kordell is very full of himself. Never liked him. Should not have married that young girl in the first place. And these women need to stop looking at the money these athletes have before marrying. So many of these guys are so unattractive. Kordell is an as_H_le!

Porsha, I think will better off with a divorce!, it may be painful, you will learn how to deal with the lost of your marriage, because you cannot be your on person in that marriage, in a divorce there are no winners, everybody loses, Porsha hold head up u a young good looking woman , and keep it moving

another blackcouple killed by reality tv.
Not sure what happened and i doubt that reality tv will be able to depict what sort of arrangement they had but stay off reality tv if you want to get married or stay married

Those shows will suck the life out of a marriage because it is stage! Why would any clear thinking person let their personal life be an open book.

I for one am glad that Cordell filed for divorce. He wants a Stepford Wife and not an equal partner. He’s a bully, a control freak and a low life cowardly bastard who couldn’t man up and tell his wife face to face that he wanted a divorce. He let us know he doesn’t respect women by how he spoke to Porsha. He probably got physical with her too(his type always does). Porsha may be hurt now but in time she will realize he did her a justice. Good riddance to bad rubbish!! He’s the type who will get an obedient white trophy arm ornament. Let him!!! Porsha grow up an be self reliant. Honor your grandfather’s legacy, he fought for civil rights which also equates to woman’s rights of which Cordell knows little about.

Stop glorifying yourself in mirror and posting on FaceBook and Twitter, and you would keep the next husband.
