Video of Young Boy ‘Twerking’ Causes Outrage, Questions Parenting

A young boy posted a video of himself dancing like an exotic dancer on a Facebook fanpage titled Twerkers Gone Wild.

.

A short video clip of a visibly young boy gyrating, i.e. ‘twerking,’ surfaced on the Twerkers Gone Wild Facebook fanpage. The video, titled “Wheres This Kid Father?” has acquired 24,800+ comments, 54,500+ shares, and 19,700+ comments.

In the clip, the young boy introduces himself and informs the viewer that he is conducting a ‘twerk’ session. Incase you’re not knowledgeable of the meaning of twerking, Urban Dictionary defines it as to work one’s body, as in dancing, especially the rear end. The young boy turns on a hip-hop song and begins to gyrate and smack his rear end throughout the video. It’s obvious he has practiced the routine for quite some time. If you’re wondering: “What’s wrong with that?” The answer to your question depends on where you stand with the ongoing debate about whether or not there is a hidden agenda to make African-American men effeminate.

While most commenters bashed the child and/or simply stated how shocked they were after watching the video, one commenter, Terese Evans, believes the child is on the right path. “[Y]all just mad cause he moves better than you. Leave the kid alone he actually has some skills. And will probably end up making more than everybody on here bashing him. Not to mention the fact that dancing like that doesn’t make you gay. Either you are or you’re not. If he is there’s nothing his parents can do about it anyway. if he’s not ladies look out. this kids got some crazy hip skills,” she said. Another commenter, Nola Hood, believed people were wrongfully sticking up for the boy. “He seems very young and he is moving as though he is experienced, and by that I mean..not a virgin. I feel sad looking at this. Who knows, what he went through as a child to make him display this behavior. All yall defending him need to shut up, cuz u aint no FB case counselor. Stop trying to be the hero and say something positive when u known DANG well this is not common for a young boy his age,” Hood said.

While I am not condoning this behavior; at least he kept his pants on and up where they belong. That’s more that we can say for a lot of boys these days.Still, it’s shameful and shows that he has way too much time on his hands. Betcha his daddy is nowhere in the picture.

  2. superstr

He doesn’t really know what he is doing. He’s a kid and in his mind-just dancing to what he has been expose to. No one should judge a child- they are under the covering of their parents.

  3. David

He learned from watching hip-hop videos. DUH

As the saying goes, “everything ain’t for everybody”. This type of dancing is too sexually suggestive and grown for a child (boy or girl) to do….period. He has clearly practiced these moves a lot. I don’ care if he saw it on TV or learned the dance from a parent or older sibling, it’s still too suggestive. Kids need to be kids, and behave as such. Can someone enroll him in real dance classes? Lastly, why is a child posting video on YouTube anyway? Whose video camera, YouTube account and email address is he using with zero parental supervision? s****l predators troll the internet all day looking for videos like this and try to use the associated account information to make contact with the kids. Watch your kids!

Peace. In my opinion, no black men, women, boys or girls should be “dancing” like this. This is the result of the evil intelligently planned system of racism and white superiority. Too much to explain on here for those of you who do not understand what I am referring to. Pray to the creator you believe in that our eyes and third eye will be opened SOON! Peace.

    • DJ

I agree. We should be just as disturbed when we see young girls gyrating like that as well as young men. It is just too s****l for teens of that age. We need to pray for him.

      • Tayler

This is what the white man has had planned for us since slavery. Look it up. Effeminating young boys is the first.. But us women and young girl have been displayed like this for centuries… Selling ourselves to the white man. Smh… This is a disgrace and we must open our third eye immediately ! God!!

  6. Onesilverbac

    Maybe he’s Gay!

You do recognize the thoughts in the larger culture is all blacks can do is sing and dance!

We live up to that so well, we place our kids in front of the TV, or allow them to place computer game rather than gather all of the wonderful knowledge that can be had! They dream of being a rapper instead of a surgeon!

Perhaps most of us truly are not worthy, of any more than we get from say the government, perhaps most of us don’t care to do more than act like “step and fetch” and play the part of a fool, and a clown!

    • DJ

And, how do you explain all those Asian and Latino children winning America’s Best Dance Crew, and people of all races singing on the Voice, American Idol, and competing on Dancing With the Stars, etc. If you buy into a stereotype because you see some Black children singing or dancing, then that’s not perceptive, nor analytical, as if you look there are Americans of all backgrounds singing and dancing all over the place. We are musical people. There is nothing wrong with that.

  7. Onesilverbac

The music is also disconcerting as is the dancing !

What do you think happened when his dad saw this, or do maybe he doesn’t know who that might be!

  8. JC

Where is his parents? This is the problem with these kids, they can shake their behinds but can’t read and comprehend a book nor comprehend anything in school. Some weirdo will try to contact him when and if they see this garbage. He needs to be chastisement. That’s the problem spare the rod spoil the child! I’d like to know where he’s gonna be in 5 more years if no one intervenes. He needs his little behind in church learning about Jesus!

  9. Sandra

Poor is very lost and needs help.

  10. Sandra

I meant, poor boy is lost

    • I agree. It made me cry. When will our people realize that we’re slowly being destroyed by the music, videos, the celebrites that glorify and condone this type of behavior, and don’t mention the homosexual lifestyle. It’s genocide!!!

      • VLT

If each educated and sane Black American took one child into our lives to teach him or her the better way to grow up healthy, wealthy, and wise, we’d be in a better place as a race. We need to pressure these hip-hop rappers and artists to recognize the damage they are doing to our culture. We need to be boycotting the video-ho shoots instead of wanting to be in them. We should be as vociferous as some other hate-groups (but not hate-but educate).

We are self-imploding. Our culture is dying a fast death. And this little boy, who wants to emulate what he sees, has no future for himself because we don’t have one at the trajectory in which we’re heading. Half of the prison population is black male (56%) while we only hold 14% of the population. Men are being turned out in prison with their pants dragging at their ankles. If someone wants to be gay, that’s his or her privilege, but let it be a decision they arrive at in their own time, not through some prison forced indoctrination.

I am so glad that I do not have children. But I will do as I preach here.

  11. Jmutegi

The Irritated Genie of Soufeese predicted this almost 15 years ago. Check out “The Effeminization of the Black Male” lecture series.

  12. Harold

He wishes he was a female. Maybe some part of him is. Now what?

  13. daretospeak

We can’t pass judgement on this behavior if this child did not put it in this arena. What was he thinking (or not)? You can’t tell me he doesn’t know or even think this is s****l are you serious. stop kidding yourself. I agree, someone is going to see this that doesn’t mean this child any good and manipulate him to do things that will make him regret the choice he made by putting this out here. God Bless the Child that has his Own. Yes, this child has a talent, but it was not meant for this and I seriously pray that someone with Knowledge of Dance contacts this child and teach him the proper way of expressing himself. Stay in Prayer and Be in Peace

    WOW…

This is the result of bad parenting in every aspects of life…

This young man is clearly living in a world of women, his mother’s friends, family, and their children who are all girls…

Women are causing their son’s to grow up like girls…I am sure he has done this dance for the entire family of ladies and they cheered him on…

Obviously, there are NO man in that home…

    • KC

Let’s not get too assumptive, he could very well have a responsible mother one that has let him have too much privilege by having a COMPUTER IN HIS ROOM. We can’t wave a magic wand and make ppl who are NOT in the home responsible but us as vigilant parents can help fight off the evil forces seeking to send our children down a dark path. Computer usage should ALWAYS be monitored if there is a minor in the home even up to 18 y./o.

  15. Smith

I feel sad for this young boy because it’s doubtful that he has any true grown-up guidance in his life. It’s ok if he wants to express who he is, but this is simply not the right way to do it. I think this video is digusting and whomever is parenting him should be ashamed of themselves.

This young boy needs counseling pronto!

  16. “Twerking” is not a hidden agenda to show or make black young men as effeminate. Facebook and all other social media has allowed people of all races and ages to be overt in their actions for all the world to see. The prize for putting oneself on display for any purpose is how many hits one gets, and that is the ultimate in human voyeurism. Stupidity abounds, no shame is found to get to act like a clown is the poster’s high.

  17. Peter D. Slaughter

We’ are seeing the long term and short term effects of those tyler perry c**n slave madea movies.
One thing for sure, the kkk and these other racist hate groups must love watching a mass % of black people going insane mentally both young and old, male and female.
I wonder how many black females think this is so cute with this young brother shaking his behind like some stupid slave c**n.

  18. Rick Davis

Now our young boys and men don’t want to be men. They want to be and act like deviate faggots. I’ve said along if this nation allows the deviate homosexual f****t to define morality in this country we are doomed. And you are witnessing the truth of what I’m saying right before your very eyes. Unless these degenerate faggots are stopped from imposing their filth upon us as normal we will all burn in heel.

And I’m no right wing bible thumping evangelical christian.

Wake up people the filth of the f****t will destroy our people and this nation.

  19. TeddyBareXXX

All i can say as a black man this is down right disgusting! I have talks about situations like this with other brothers and we’re all want to do something to change the mindest of OUR children (and parents). We allow negative images and negative communications into our society and expect something positive. I cant even complete my thought on this because seeing this makes me so upset i want to reach out to him his parent somebody! Brothers and Sisters Please PLEASE PLEASE WAKE UP!

  20. Lisa C

This makes me so sad..females under the age of 21, boys or GROWN men should NOT be doing that dance!!! Where in the world are his parents, I hope this child puts this much effort into school!!! Wow wow wubzy!!!!

  21. Darkseid

I don’t honestly know why you people try to take stances in these types of arguments; no one ever wins and no one is ever right. Why? Whether you’re straight, gay, bisexual, transexual, black, white, purple, gray or whatever, you’re all human and you all have your own values and beliefs. There is no hierarchy that depicts what you choose to believe as fact, your facts are simply things you choose to embrace within the confines of the reality you create for yourself. That’s a females dance, because in your mind you created schema to associate that with females. Like you, the next person has done the exact opposite. What makes your right THE RIGHT? Nothing. At the end of the day, you’re just a bunch of idiots who follows rules and regulations set for you by other people. You’re a bunch of monkeys that does as the crowd does. If the crowd hates gay, you’ll hate gay. If the crowd hates straight you’ll hate straight. If the other monkeys (who happened to own your ancestors) say lets believe in Jesus, you’ll all read and write and catch the holy ghost. If the rest of the monkeys want to kill themselves, I’m sure you’ll all soon be dead. The moment you stop finding excuses to hate one another and simply embrace the fact that everyone isn’t a monkey like you, is the moment you’ll truly earn your freedom. I won’t hold my breath. Mankind hasn’t figured it out thus far and they wont any time soon.

    • Commonsense king

So what makes your statement right? Being that apparently you figured it out or we now to simply drop our own thoughts and agree with your monkey a*s?

  22. Kennedy J.

The only problem I have with this video is the age of the child in question. The ONLY problem. If his parent(s) choose to let him dance like this, then that is their decision, not anybody else’s. That issue aside, do you all so-called Christian/religious people hear yourselves!? Do you realize how ignorant you sound? Calling anyone – let alone a child – a “f*****” is disgusting. That is a horrible derogatory word, and the fact that you can use that with no problem at all and still call yourself a good person doesn’t make a bit of sense. Get your heads out of your collective a**, and grow the f*** up! You shouldn’t need a 16 year old to tell you this.

  23. KC

SOLUTION MODE PEOPLE: How about instead of these ranting comments…

    1. In what city is this kid in?
    2. Is there a Big Brother/100 Black Men chapter in that city or tri-state area where he can find a MENTOR
    3. Contact the parents b/c we don’t need perverts getting a hold of this child’s image.

So all you Twitter and Facebook freaks put your online time and snooping skills to some benevolent use. I don’t even come on the internet sometimes b/c of all the ranting. Let’s be about ACTION ppl not just bumping our gums in cyberspace!! Stand UP!

  25. What is this youngster trying to prove, what is the message he is trying to send, why does he want people to look at him wiggle around like a nut case, whatever his reason, for a 12 yr old thats sad. Just think about it, this little fella has only been in this world 12 yrs, and look at where he is at, thats sad.

He obviously doesn’t have a daddy/male to guide him, so I blame the women in his life for exposing him to things that are inappropriate for his age. A woman can’t teach him to be a man, but she can guide and protect him to make sure he becomes a well rounded male
