Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Gown Designer Revealed

It is official! It was just announced that First Lady Michelle Obama’s inaugural gown is designed by Jason Wu — again. As she walked out onto the stage to have the first dance with President Barack Obama, a sea of cameras stole the first shots of her red floor length gown. The material flowed effortlessly as the first couple slow danced to the voice of Jennifer Hudson singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

This is actually the second time Lady O chose to adorn herself in the seam work of Jason Wu for the Presidential Inaugural Ball. In accordance with the custom of four years ago, the presidential staff did not reveal the designer of the first lady’s gown until after she appeared on stage. Reportedly, Wu was screaming ecstatically and running around his apartment when he discovered Michelle Obama chose to wear his gown for the previous inaugural ball. This year, it appears he was more collected as his publicists sent word of the good news out to the media. Wu’s career skyrocketed four years ago with the first honor. He not only designs couture but also ready-to-wear with a line in Target stores throughout the nation. His career is sure to take yet another leap after tonight.
