Kobe Bryant Shuts Down His Wife’s Critic On Twitter

Kobe Bryant, who recently joined Twitter, shut down one of his Twitter followers on Monday for criticizing his wife, Vanessa.

The NBA baller tweeted: “Morning coffee with my wife @LadyVB24 (instagram) vanilla latte for me. Passion tea for her #morningaddiction.” Quoting the popular line from Drake’s “Stay Schemin,” a follower replied to his tweet saying “@kobebryant @LadyVB24 but…. #SheWasntWithYouShootingInTheGym.” Kobe shot back at the follower saying “@lukashMAYYAN no, she wasn’t. She was busy raising our kids #nonanny #respectmothers.”

The “Twitter” beef occurred weeks after Vanessa released a textogram saying she and Kobe have reconciled and look forward to spending their future together. The lyrics from Drake’s “Stay Schemin” seem to haunt the couple. Vanessa recently slammed fans of Drake on Instagram for quoting the rapper’s famous lyrics: “She wasn’t with you shooting in the gym,” in response to reports that Kobe would have to award Vanessa with half of his assets following a divorce.

“I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life,” Vanessa commented. ”I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone’s clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family’s heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It’s a partnership. Since my husband isn’t friends with Drake, we received a text of an apology forwarded from his manager. It’s done and over with and it’s now time for people to THINK before speaking.”

Drake later clarified the purpose of his lyrics publicly. “That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else.“

    I have posted many links to my book Deadbeat: Take Care of Your Damn Kids, and people that are interested in ball players that are deadbeats should read this book. This is a man that is taking care of his family and realized that it is cheaper to keep her. Plus there would be some big shoes to fill if Kobe left Vanessa. And of course they will step out of the marriage from time to time. He has been with this girl since he was a young adult and now that he is getting a chance to taste the wine people are talking. Listen, their business is their business. I am more concerned about if he is investing in the urban areas where he came from and helping to put some of those millions back into the urban cities that support him and other ball players. At least they are signing checks and not some blood thirsty manager or accountant…
