Lashawn Evans of Queens, New York was murdered right after finding out that his wife was having an affair with another female officer.   Unable to obtain any information on the matter from the military, the young man’s father is launching his own investigation into the incident.

Kevin Green has filed papers in Brooklyn Federal Court asking for the release of cell phone and text messages from his son’s devices.   He is also asking for all information related to devices used by his son’s former wife, Florinda Evans and her mother.

The US army has not been helpful.  They initially ruled Lashawn’s death to be a suicide and then changed it to homicide six months afterward.   Kevin Green now wants to know exactly how his son died while serving in the United States military.

“I made my son a promise that I would honor him and fight till I know what happened,” the grieving father said.

Jeffrey Schwartz, Mr. Green’s attorney said: “We cannot think of any good reason why the Army has not provided the father of one of their soldiers with information about a death they ruled a homicide.”

Evans was found dead in his barracks with a rifle next to his body and a blanket over his head.  It is not clear whether his former wife had anything to do with the homicide.

Check – This man’s wife is an officer. Better believe the Army is going to make sure of her guilt/if any before releasing a statement.

So Sad…..now this man has to fight for his son when his son was fighting for his country. Hope he has some family support because this can be a very trying experience, emotionally and financially. May God be with him!

Whats done in the dark shall be brought to the light. My Prayer is that world news grabs hold of this story so pressure can be put on the Military and our govenrment to find out what happened to this young man. And that those who are responsible be held accountable to the fullest extent of Our Governmental Laws. There are honorable people who serve in our military everday and this regretable incident should not cloud the ones who serve faithfully and righteousl on a daily basis. Please lets get JUSTICE For this father and family. Keeping an open mind and praying for all involved.

We know clearly this was a murder and I believe that the army not releasing the info to the father has nothing to do with it being a lesbian thing. We watch shows all the time which shows that the army, marines and so forth all have their own rules on how they handle matters. They play the secret game because of their position it is an embarrasment but not due to homosexuality. This is a government agency and they don’t like unwanted attention. The father will need to be persistent and he will also need a strong backing strength comes in numbers. He has a legal right to know what happened. I also believe that what is done in the dark will come to light.

Just another reason why homosexuality should not be allowed in the military.
