Parents Livid that Doctors Lost Daughter’s Internal Organs During Autopsy

This story is a few month’s old, but we felt that it was worth sharing with you.  A family in Baltimore is angry about a botched investigation into their daughter’s death.  The girl was found dead next to a garbage can and instead of helping the family to find answers, authorities are now saying that they lost the girl’s internal organs.  What’s going on with the Baltimore Police Department?

The parents of a teenage girl from Virginia who was found dead next to a trash bin in Baltimore in 2008 are alleging that a state medical examiner threw away her heart and brain, among other organs.

During a news conference Thursday in Washington, Mary Jane and Daniel McCann also continued to sharply criticize the Baltimore Police Department’s investigation and conclusions by detectives that the 16-year-old committed suicide by drinking a lethal dose of Bactine.

The alleged mistreatment of Annie McCann’s remains is a further indignity, her parents said, adding to their continued suffering as they wage a years-long campaign to convince authorities that their daughter was murdered and that a killer remains on the loose.

“So, thugs stuffed Annie’s dead or dying body behind a dumpster, then the police swiftly and silently trashed the investigation into her murder,” a statement read by the parents says. “And then the medical examiner threw her organs out with the garbage. That’s ugly. That’s Baltimore ugly.”

The McCanns said they first learned that Annie’s organs might be missing in June 2009, seven months after her funeral, after obtaining an embalmer’s report. They said they spent months trying to get answers and received “vague denials and rambling assertions of the medical examiner’s right to retain organs for forensic or other purposes.”

We’re getting dumber and dumber (w/o GOD) and all the time bragging about what we, (not GOD) accomplished; go figure! Makes me ashamed to be human, wish I were an eagle. Insult to injury, losing someone’s organs. No freak n compassion!!to

Most families will donate their love ones organs. This child’s organs were stolen by some desperate person or a conspiracy in medical examiners office. The truth will sit you free and there is a price to pay for every evil thing you do.

Excuse me. Organs can not be used unless they are kept alive after the person has passed away. The way you see it did not happen. OK?

This story reminds me of a similar incident in Charleston, SC. The parents were a young African-American couple whose baby’s organs were remove by a prestigious university in the area. The couple found out from the funeral home that their baby’s organs were missing. The poor couple was stonewalled because the university wields a lot of power in those parts. It seems no lawyer was willing to take on the university, nor would the university even offer an apology. My God!!
