On Thursday morning, Barbara Walters reported, on “The View”, that Mariah Carey told her that her co-judge on “American Idol” , Nicki Minaj, said she would shoot her.

Walters reported that just before going live on “The View”, her popular talk show on ABC, she had a phone conversation with Carey who released some new information about what happened between her and Minaj on Tuesday.

Walters say, according to Carey,

“when Nicki walked off the set, multiple people heard Nicki say, `If I had a gun I would shoot the [bitch].”‘

According to Walters, after a Wednesday meeting attended by both Carey and Minaj, Minaj is reported to have told Carey, “I love you, but we might fight again,”  to which Carey responded, `No, we will not.”‘

Carey is reported to have hired additional security and said to Walters, that she

“…doesn’t feel comfortable emotionally, but she will continue with the show because she loves the show and she loves mentoring the contestants.”

Walters invited Minaj to “The View” asking her to come and tell her side of the story but Minaj took to Twitter instead, tweeting,

”Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. Ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it”

Another tweet said,

“Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol (at) the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.”

Later on, she tweeted,

”I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave.”

During the middle of September when the announcement was made that both Minaj and Carey would be judges on the new panel, rumors started about  a feud.

TMZ released a blurry video on Tuesday which showed what looked like Minaj and Carey arguing. Minaj is said to have said that she will no longer put up with “her … Highness,” referring to Carey.

The new panel includes  American Idol faithful, Randy Jackson, and he is joined by the three new judges, who also include country singer, Keith Urban.

“American Idol” ‘s new season premieres in January.
