Evelyn Lozada Does First Interview Since Domestic Dispute With Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Evelyn Lozada sat down with ABC’s Amy Robach in her first interview following the domestic dispute with her soon-to-be ex-husband Chad Johnson. The “Basketball Wives” star revealed details about the night leading up to Johnson head butting her that left her bleeding and scarred. In between tears, she said she wants Johnson to apologize to her and to get help if he plans to reconnect with her.
Lozada also made it a point to let viewers know that she is not the violent woman she was portrayed to be on VH1′s “Basketball Wives,” in fact, Lozada says she was a “very good fiancé and wife to Chad.’
On what she wants for Chad:
I would like for him to tell me that he got help and that he is working on himself, whenever I talk to my sister or my girlfriend, I always say I want the best for him. I really do! And he is a good guy who made a bad choice. He loves football, he is very driven, a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life and I hate that I’m connected to that, I do, but it was his choice. It wasn’t mine.
It would have to take sometime [for us to speak again]. I love him very much and I think that us being away from each other is the right thing. So when is he going to say sorry? [...] It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love/ But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.
On the night of the domestic dispute:
And then the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here [pointing to her head] and he head-butted me. I felt blood coming down my face… and I looked at him and I said, ‘You just head-butted me?’ And it just — everything just felt if it was in slow motion.
He was gone to me, like, it wasn’t him. He got out of the car, really, really quick and ran into the house, and I said to myself, ‘I need to get out of here.’
On her decision to file for divorce:
I said to myself, ‘I’m never going to go through that again, ever.’ I don’t think any woman should ever have to feel like that or be fearful of her husband.
I was a very good fiancé and wife to Chad. I did everything I could to make his life better. The person on ‘Basketball Wives’ is not the person at home. I don’t think he would marry me if I was.”

She made her brand “The angry, crazy, want to fight everyone sister of color” now she say she not the way. So everything on BW was fake? Seems every man she been with ends up in the trashcan of life. Maybe she should get some help before her next relationship.
Let’s hope he gets the help he needs, and moves forward in getting his life on track. Prayerfully this has been a wake up call to him and others, and they will use better judgment in the future. Evelyn needs tons of help as well, don’t know her background but can’t imagine she would have a parent who would tolerate the vulgar and rage she express.
I have no sympathy for Evelyn. This b***h made a name for herself as being “about dat life” while harassing, berating, and physically harming other women in the process. She got what she deserve and the fact she is trying to seek sympathy and playing this “victim” role is an INSULT to real victims of domestic violence. What happened between her and Chad was nothing more than dumb a*s drama she should be accustom to by now. Low life b***h.

Evelyn, may want to consider spending less time trying to convince the public what she is not, despite the obvious “angry actions” she has become infamous for on her Reality TV show. Is she saying that she is pretending on this reality show? And if so, then she is engaging in a contradiction, since this show is suppose to be about reality, where she also showcases her relationship or love for Chad. While you can not throw a baby out the window with the bath water, a baby in dirty water, still makes the baby dirty. She too needs just as much help as Chad supposedly needs. Evelyn loves drama. Its so obvious and people will quickly tire of her drama if she doesnt pull it together. I think Chad may have accidentally head b**t her because she was driving him crazy by telling him she was OK with an open relationship, then switching gears and coming down on him for having extramarital relations.

That’s just plain immature to wish harm to someone or say they got what they deserved. You’re another woman and you think a football player headbutting a woman is cool? That’s just HATERISM at its finest! I’m all about Sisterhood. Honestly, my brothers would’ve dealt with Chad and my father would’ve honored it. A woman’s mouth can never match a man’s fist. Although he didn’t punch her-he was out of line, out of pocket. Like Evelyn or not she didn’t deserve. Chad should’ve walked away.

These un-reality shows may pay good but sooner than later these women start to beleive their own publicity. They are not the bad, fast lane chicks they portray on the show. Those fabulous trips to exotic places are paid for by the show. They are just like every other black woman trying to get by.
