Married Pastor Accused of Sexting with a 14-Year Old Girl in His Congregation

A pastor in California is in big trouble after authorities have determined that he has had an inappropriate relationship with a young woman at his church.  Pastor Gordon Solomon faces up to 26 years in prison for allegedly “sexting” a young girl from the age of 12 until she was 14-years old.  Police have found old text messages linking the pastor to the young woman, and they are also saying that there could be more victims.

With this being just the last of several such instances happening in churches across the country, does this say something about the black church and those we allow around our kids?

Gordon Solomon, a pastor at Christ’s Community Church in Los Angeles, shocked his congregation this week.   The pastor was arrested for having a highly inappropriate two-year relationship with a 14-year old girl.  The two had been exchanging text messages of a sexual nature for the past two years, starting when the girl was just 12-years old.

Solomon, a 50-year old man, allegedly met with the girl at various locations, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.  The girl’s mother found one of the messages and called police.  Police were then able to trace the pastor’s phone to determine that the conversations had been occurring for the past two years.
