Raven Symone Reportedly Wants Michelle Obama to Officiate Her Marriage to Another Woman
Being gay is becoming more and more popular by the second, and companies like Chick fil-a are finding that you can lose a lot of business by not supporting gay marriage. The latest news on the topic comes from Rayven-Symone, formerly from the “Cosby Show” and “That’s So Raven.” It is being reported that Symone is seeking to marry her female partner and wants First Lady Michelle Obama to officiate the ceremony.
“Raven wants a big, splashy affair, and she really wants Michelle to officiate,” according to the National Enquirer.
AzMarie Livingston is the woman that the media believes to be Symone’s partner. Livingston was once on the show, “America’s Next Top Model.” Symone is allegedly stating that she would like Mrs. Obama to be part of the ceremony since her kids are fans of her Disney show.
“Knowing how the Obamas have become firm believers in marriage equality, Raven didn’t hesitate to ask her reps to send a letter to Michelle asking if she’d get temporary credentials to legally marry AzMarie and her,” according to the National Enquirer.
Symone has never been one to share very much about her personal life. Instead, she has simply made it clear that people don’t have a right to know who she’s dating or why.
“I’m living my personal life the way I’m happiest,” she said on twitter. “I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating and I shall not start now. My s****l orientation is mine, and the person I’m dating to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”
To have Mrs. Obama officiate the wedding of Raven Symone to another woman is very fitting of the current political climate here in the United States. Gay rights are now the norm, and millions of people are in support of it. The hurdle for Raven and Mrs. Obama is that African American women are among the most religious people in the United States, with many of them not approving of gay marriage.
