Dr. Boyce: Nancy Grace Should be Ashamed for Causing Woman’s Suicide
Nancy Grace’s attacks on “Vodka Mom” Toni Medrano partially reflected the outrage held by millions of people. Medrano got drunk and smothered her baby, the kind of thing that makes any of us keenly aware of the dangers of alcohol consumption. But did Nancy Grace take things too far? I say that she did.
Medrano clearly needed help, and she clearly did something wrong. But ridiculing her in the way that she did does nothing to bring the baby back. Medrano was already going to be punished for her crime by authorities, maligned by her community and confronted with a lifetime of guilt for her poor choices. I’m not sure if Nancy Grace’s decision to glamorize the issue at the expense of someone’s life makes a whole lot of sense to me.
But then again, the world lacks sympathy for those who make mistakes, so I won’t be surprised if others don’t see the issue in the same way. At the very least, the experience of Madrano and her baby reminds us that we have to be careful when it comes to the demon of alcohol. Every young person heading to college needs to realize that it is not required that you drink yourself into a coma every weekend, for many 40-year old degenerates started off as 18-year old kids taking their first drink on a college campus. Life is too short to be stupid.

this is not about sympathy…it’s about ratings and money…Nancy Grace would mock her mother for ratings..i don’t even know the purpose of her show…who does she know at the station? God is the Final judge and may he have mercy on this young lady’s soul..
I don’t watch Nancy Grace because she seems to be very vindictive and bent on harming instead of being helpful,which leads me too wonder about her own personal life and wheather or not she is truly happy but misery loves company in that those who have many trouble lives seek to inflick pain on others I don’t think she ever completley got over the loss of her fiance years ago and may need therapy so we need to be very careful in not showing compassion and love toward others.I imagine this woman was so broken in spirits that she felt her life and living was of no value therefore the easy way out for was death but it seems to me Nancy Grace was accused of something similar too this does anyone remember.

Hate to admit, but I prefer Grace over Boyce. He has alot of gaul to criticize any one given the way he has attacked the president and he doen’t make any where asmuch money. Probably works for FOX. As i have said before, he joins the ranks of Alan West, Cornel West, Tavis, Limbaugh, Thomas, Cain and all who accept the envelope to trash Blacks. Despicable.
Nancy Grace has made a name for herself in being sensational. In feeding the voracious appetite some people have for ever repeated rhetoric, she has successfully established herself as the “voice” of the people looking for the “truth”. Sadly, this “truth” is heavily ladened with subjective drivel and slanted prose that it hardly ever reflects anything substantive.
-Video clips remain of a constant cycle to illicit either a heartwarming or malicious persona.
-Overly dramatic gestures on an operatic scale
-Popularizing scandal and pushing self promotion as the voice of “reason”
Clearly I am not a fan. I watched her program with the clear notion of vying for a rapport and turned away sickened. It was no surprise her laying a heavy hand as a self elected champion of justice. All said, I’ve no reason to imagine her issuing an apology to anyone for somethin said or presented.
The mother made a mistake. Others have acted with pure, misguided intent. Grace chose her topic poorly and laid the onslaught down. Tragedy ensued as a result. Nancy Grace goes on to the next headline… Tragically simple…
Sidenote: ^Kev^ You are sorely mistaken. Dr Boyce at least asks questions with regard to the community and the people within this forum and respects feedback. I’ve yet to hear Dr Boyce make any fiery remarks made to incite the audience in some shallow sensational manner rather than encourage thoughtful questioning of the topic. Check yourself, sir, and your “objectivity” in questioning others.

Nancy Grace did not cause this poor woman’s suicide. Nancy might have been judgmental, insensitive and sensational as usual, but no way did she MAKE

After all, wasn’t she burdened with guilt and shame after killing her child? You are reacting to Nancy Grace just as she reacted to Medrano’s tragedy. Sadly, The woman caused her own multiple tragedy. We are responsible for our own actions.
Nancy has a bad habit of demonizing anyone she doesn’t agree with and she’s to opinionated. Im sure shes made mistakes but listening to her loud mouth you can tell she thinks shes perfect.I wish they would cancel her show don’t get me wrong i love kids but im so tired of her talking about her kids and then she talks about them in that nerve racking voice where it sounds like shes going to burst into tears, ugggh shes so phony.

Nancy Grace was also “held” responsible for the death of Melinda Duckett the mom who Grace grilled on her show about the whereabouts of her missing son Trenton. Melinda killed herself after appearing on the show. Nancy gets to the bottom of things and even if someone gets mad at what and how she says something, she can’t be held liable for someone taking their own life. She didn’t tell them that they should die and hen they did.
She may not have told her to kill herself, and most children who are bullied and commit suicide aren’t told they do it out of not finding a way out of a bad situation, this woman didn’t intentionally kill her child, yes he died from her careless actions, however it was far from premeditated, she would have paid mentally forever, and physically in jail for whatever time they gave her, Yes Mrs. Grace gets to the point, but than her self righteous, judgemental, negative, inhumane, vindictive half takes over, not once did she take into account , this woman who she titled “Vodka Mom” was a person and loved and made a mistake, which may have been from.a disease called Alcoholism or illness called post partum depression… Mrs. Grace shows us how smart she is however her actions show us how stupid she is as well!! She should present facts, not LABELS…

Everything has a proper use …even alcohol. Defective human character is the cause of the misuse of alcohol. If Nancy Grace had done that to a gang member she would not be walking the earth. Reputation is everything.
