Musiq Soulchild is Writing a New Book

For years, the neo-soul artist has inspired us with his love-laden music. Now, Musiq Soulchild is hoping his new book will do the same. Due out June 25, “143: Love According to Musiq” is a book centered around love, relationships and of course, music.
But the Philadelphia artist isn’t billing himself as a relationship expert–though his songs have undoubtedly started or revived more than a few.
“Basically it’s just a man with an opinion ranting about love and relationships and how my music is affected by them and how my music impacts other people’s relationships,” he said in an interview during the early stages of the book.
“I know my core audience and people who are interested in my music will be interested in it, and hopefully people who never even heard of me and wouldn’t even be interested in the music I make will at least be interested in my thoughts and opinions on how we as people relate to each other in terms of romantic love and relations,” he said.
The book can be pre-ordered at www.dippub.com. The singer is also running a contest through the site where fans will have a chance to win a pass to see him live in concert and meet him backstage.
