Warning: African Americans at Highest Risk of Catching Untreatable Gonorrhea

NewsOne is reporting that African Americans are at the highest risk of all ethnic groups of catching the new, untreatable form of Gonorrhea.  The disease is resistant to drugs and spreading rapidly, leading to warnings from the World Health Organization.  Health officials are warning that since the disease affects African Americans more than other groups, we are also more likely to catch the drug resistant strain of the disease.

“We can say that we are seeing early warning signs abroad that the disease is becoming resistant to treatment,” says Dr. Robert Kirkcaldy, a medical epidemiologist in the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention, “which is why we should take action now.”

According to Kirkcaldy, there is the very real prospect of untreatable gonorrhea emerging in the United States, especially in communities of color.

If so, this spells bad news for African Americans. Dr. Kirkcaldy says it’s difficult to predict how long it could take untreatable gonorrhea to emerge in the United States. Medical experts speculate, though, that it could be in about a decade.

Overall, African Americans remain disproportionately affected by gonorrhea, accounting for the majority of infections (69 percent or 167,655 cases) in 2010, says Dr. Kirkcaldy, who cites the latest available statistics. The infection rate among Blacks is 20 times as high as Whites (512.2 vs. 26.0 per 100,000 people) and 8 times as high among Hispanics, he adds. While reported gonorrhea rates have hit historically low levels in recent years, the number of cases still remain unacceptably high in the United States.

Wow, now there’s an untreatable form of gonorrhea. Yuck! Black people, learn to educate yourselves on STDs/STIs. Quick walking around here with the attitude like nothing can happen to you. Quick being ashamed of discussing sexually transmitted diseases. Talk to your daughters and sons about responsible s****l behavior. Black women, quit opening up your legs to suspect males and Black men, quick acting like s*x crazed dogs trying to screw everything in site. By practicing these practical and common sense habits, you can avoid getting an untreatable gonorrhea and HIV!

Not to be controversial but there is cause and effect and the adjustment of cause and effect. Too much experimentation and field testing of mutations of already existing diseases leads to data collection from emerging medical records that verify the effect of germ warfare. They do not have to immediately kill you they simply have to make you sick. If you can grow germs on soap then you can enhance the life force of bio weapons with current treatment options. There is a cure but there is a eugenics type population control motive for the effects that we are seeing with this type of news. Private dollars goes into this type of research along with the psychological effects of oppressive press releases such as this. We all live in the pee-tree dish of genome specific germ warfare research.

If you have doubt get yourself tested. Demand toxicological and the biochemical genesis of any treatment that is offered beyond the leaflet that comes with the bottle or pill. Sometimes the effects are the opposite of what the claims are. Side effects are your body’s warning that you have the agents of death in the midst of your body. Be safe, wise and knowledgeable people. The Doctrine of Informed Consent does give you legal recourse if you question things beyond your doctors ignorance and inform him or her of the truth about what he or she is about to prescribe. Too many medical professional operate in a pool of ignorance under the shield of “this is the most current practice.” The usual treatment may not be he the actual solution to the problem. Pills are prescribed to sooth your mind. The outcome might not be what you expect. Do not panic and protect yourself.

  4. So sad that many of our black brother’s and sister’s will be sick with this untreatable disease. If many do not take time to talk, and tell our children about taking better care of themselves. Our communities will be destroy with this disease. Please parents, talk to your children about s*x, drugs, and the cost you may pay for wanting so much money…Heartbreaking!

Why is this a surprise??! Monogamy is hardly practiced in our community. And AA women have been sold a bill of goods that they must express love by engaging in oral s*x! Most black men prefer not to sheath themselves!
Better to live with out RISKY UNCOMMITTED s*x than contacting an incurable STD

We are living in a burning house built on sand. The Devil will sell all kind of sin that will kill us. T.V. p***o,gay (happy),s*x,nasty music, fashion, drugs, guns etc…all just sin. We buy it because the Massa say it is good for us. We got to start loving ourselves more than we love, Massa.

The truth be known the spirit that works in the children of disobedience is Massa. The bill of goods is that you can disobey God under the guise of “Free Moral Agency” and “Separation of Church and State” and not receive any affects for the causes that we put in motion. To play god without the power and wisdom to make everything that we put our hands to “Very Good” is to embark on a path of self destruction.
You must first build godly character before exercising the power of God.
Marriage is a God Plane relationship and s*x is an “Act of God ” in the process of God reproducing Himself. It is a privilege and honor to get to play a vital part in this process. Family is the seedbed of the gods.Wasn’t it Christ who said..”Did I not say that you shall be as gods.?” Our potential is far beyond what is taught in Sunday school.

PEACE WELL STATED U ARE RIGHT AND EXACT

You sound like a complete fool. Talking about God is the one who is making this happen. “God” has nothing to do with this. High risk behavior leads to increased probablity of exposure to desease. It’s that simple.

  7. all the disease are white people disease they spread it all over the world thats why the world are doomed now

Why is it always us that is the highest to catch something…really now????? I’m tired of hearing it’s only us as if we just sleep with anyone…

After reading that article about the married preacher who gave over 30 women in his congregation HIV, I am not surprised.

    Disgusted, but not surprised.

For some d**n reason, there are some black women out there who are engaging in some serious high-risk behavior and not doing anything proactive to protect themselves. It’s in my opinion that these black women’s self-esteem is so low, they won’t guard their own bodies in fear of rejection or the tired excuse that they ‘got ta feel it ALL!’

I really don’t take stats too seriously, but that article is as plain as day and it’s very disheartening that these black women would allow any Tom, d**k, and Harry bust it wide open with no condom.

The Bible won’t save you from stupidity.

That is real talk! But they cain’t hear you. If you are not blonde haired and blue eyed and the one that supposedly died upon the cross (I didn’t know Jesus was Nordic, but anywho…) then it is all a lie! Silly people. Quick to use the Bible to ask for help (pray), but slow to use the Bible for any kind of constructive guidance!

When I was a child, I was speaking as a child, I was led as a child, I was thinking as a child, but when I became a man, I ceased these childish things.

Ddre, as you said, the Bible won’t save them from stupidity, especially the way they use it to believe that everything is going to be alright. All we gottsta do is pray and pray and pray and…
